Tender are invited for The Alaska Dept of Fish and Game (ADFG) is requesting information from qualified entities who are established and experienced in the cementum aging of animal teeth. ADFG has an extensive history of working with Matson`s laboratory of Milltown Mt for this service on numerous species of Alaskan animals. ADFG is unaware of any other entity who can provide cementum aging on all Alaska terrestrial and marine mammal species. Unless another fully capable laboratory is identified by this RFI; ADFG intends to award a single source contract to Matson`s Laboratory for future analaysis of our mammal teeth. If you are a laboratory who currently offers this service and believe that you can meet our needs, please reply to this RFI no later than 5:00 pm Alaska Time on 3/13/2020. Please provide documentation as to you capabilities, experience with the points listed below:1) Standardized, recorded laboratory processes for tooth sectioning.2) Standardized, recorded tooth section analysis models.3) Capability of routinely preparing tooth sections of a histological grade.4) Quality control check steps for laboratory processing.5) Experience processing and analyzing large numbers of specimens of each species.(A quantity of 5, 000-10, 000 for each species would be minimum, depending upon the difficulty ofcementum analysis for each).6) Evidence of precision and accuracy of results.7) Evidence of both intent and capability to provide a permanent service, and t...
