The Municipality of Swan Valley West is accepting bids from contractors and suppliers for the construction of a structure in Benito to house emergency equipment. This structure is being built from drawings provided by Swan Valley West. While these drawings are accurate, we recognize that some changes may be needed along the way. The Municipality of Swan Valley West is acting as the general contractor in this project. Bidders may bid on all of the project, or individual portions of the project. We may award the project to one construction firm or award portions to individual firms and suppliers. This arrangement is being used to maximize value and minimize costs to the municipality. Where possible, we encourage the use of local products such as Spruce Products Lumber. We also encourage the use of local tradespersons. However, the scoring criteria does not provide for a preference to accept increased costs for the use of local products or labor.
