Existing windows are worn out and need replacement to ensure the building's function, reduce heat loss and limit unwanted solar load in residents' rooms and common areas. The measure will contribute to a better indoor climate, less draughts, and more robust building parts with low maintenance requirements. At the same time, the facade will be upgraded in connection with the window replacement, so that the building will have a holistic and lasting solution. Kvaefjordheimen is a building in operation with residents in need of care. It is therefore important that the works are planned and carried out in a safe and considerate manner, with particular attention to protecting residents and maintaining sound operations during execution. Description of the assignment The procurement concerns an execution contract for replacement of approximately 89 windows at Kvaefjordheimen, as well as related facade work. The delivery includes the complete delivery and installation of new windows adapted to the needs of the project, including windows with sun-reducing properties and windows with the necessary fire requirements where this is relevant. The assignment includes also necessary work related to the dismantling of existing windows, environmental remediation and proper handling of PCB-containing windows with associated documentation, as well as demolition and return of affected building parts.
