The University Hospital of Basel (USB) is planning to replace the operating room image data management system (BDMS) and the operating room lights (OPL) in all operating theaters EAST and WEST and also replace the ceiling supply units (DVE) in the WEST area. The aim of the project is to procure modern, future-oriented and cross-system compatible solutions that ensure high image quality, optimal working conditions and maximum patient safety.
A central focus is on the seamless integration of the new image data management into the existing PACS in order to To ensure structured, secure and standardized archiving of all image and video data generated in the operating room. The new operating lights and ceiling supply units should also enable ergonomic, hygienic and workflow-oriented improvements and be technically coordinated with each other be.
The hospital attaches particular importance to robust, economically viable and long-term operable solutions that ensure reliable operation, low lifecycle costs and sustainable expandability. This is intended to be future-proof, digitally networked and operationally stable Surgical environment can be created.
