The boilers in the heating plants have been in operation for more than 50 years. On the surface of the pipes in the hearths of VKSM boilers, a characteristic color typical of pipes exposed to high temperatures can be observed. Due to long-term exploitation at high temperatures there is a degradation of the pipe structure and the appearance of cracks that are difficult to weld and leak near the welded area during each subsequent test of the pressure boiler. For preventive maintenance of boiler plants it is necessary regular replacement of new furnace screen tubes and new economizers to ensure continued safe and efficient operation of the boilers, increased operational and technical condition in the coming years, extended service life and increased reliability in the operation of boilers.
