Short description : Today`s central gas plants for medical gases are of different ages and conditions. A review of the plant from gas central to distribution point basement below the central block, basement building A, shows a great need for replacement of pipes and valves. The plant as it stands today does not satisfyRequirements as stated in https://www.edqm.eu/en/european-pharmacopoeia-ph-eur-9th-editionThe central gas plant as it stands today is largely built on a facility that is old with some new areas that are renovated or extended. Operating personnel describe the facility as defective both when it gapplies to pressure switches, as well as the current situation for few outlets in the wall. The description of the situation is that the entire central gas plant is ripe for upgrading. Multiple outlets for each room, shut-off valves outside each room, check valves on each outlet are the goal. In addition, the supply network must be upgraded med correct dimensions based on future needs.
