At Foersvarsmakten (FM) Sjoestridsskola (SSS) SjoesaekS (Karlskrona), training is carried out in e.g. ship firefighting, shoring and leak sealing, the training is carried out under realistic conditions in modified standard steel containers. Daily exposure to fire, water and physical impact gives sluse of the equipment, which is why it needs to be repaired with a certain frequency and also replaced every 2-3 years depending on the degree of use. The training is vital to ships and human survival at sea.
