Turku and Kaarina Parish Association is requesting offers for refrigerated containers for the period 2 August 2026 - 30 September 2027. The rental need is caused by the renovation of the largest chapel building in Turku, the Chapel of the Holy Cross. The chapel has three blessing chapel spaces where blessings are given more than 1, 000 deaths every year. In addition, a crematorium serving the entire region operates in connection with the chapel, where more than 3, 000 deceased are cremated each year. Only the crematorium will be left out of the renovation. Cold containers will be used as replacement storage facilities at the crematorium and in Ylösnousemus, Kärsämäki and Katariina chapels, which serve as additional storage spaces for blessing ceremonies. The containers must have a door / double doors, the opening formed by which is at least 1.20 m wide. Doors should be easy can be opened and locked, e.g. with a padlock. Keys to the lock should be able to be ordered at a reasonable price for the use of funeral homes that bring in more deceased. The interior of the container must be a completely uniform space, without shelves or other structures. The inner width of the container must be at least 2.20 m. The container must have general lighting. The internal temperature must be adjustable to at least the temperature range + 6 - 0 C. The front of the container door must be equipped with a sturdy gangway, the longitudinal slope of which, when installed on site, is no more than 8% and a load capacity of at least 200 kg.
