Rental of shredding of park and garden waste PURPOSE AND SCOPE Receiving and correct treatment of garden waste is very important in order to achieve the Renovation and Recycling Authority's (REG) target for waste treated as material recovery. The department has recently acquired electric grinders, but lack electricity for these. It is unclear when electricity will be available. There is therefore a need for an agreement on the rental of milling until there is enough electricity in place, estimated June 2026 and as a backup solution in the event of a shutdown and during periods of large reception of garden waste. The framework for the agreement over a 4-year period is estimated at approximately 2 million. For the record, it is mentioned that the stated amount limit is an estimate and does not obligate REG beyond the uncertainty inherent in this.
