Rental of radar - Blåbærtinden's avalanche warning system - fv.87 Tamokdalen-Troms county Background and purpose Troms county municipality (hereafter referred to as the Client) wishes to secure a landslide-prone point on county road 87 near Olsrud in Balsfjord municipality through establishment of an avalanche warning system. This procurement includes the delivery of the actual landslide detection system, based on radar technology. The SRO facility will be announced as a separate acquisition. The client hereby invites tenders for the delivery of avalanche monitoring for Blåbærfjellet along Fv87 in Balsfjord municipality. The monitoring system must be able to detect landslides and contribute to notification and closure of the road in the event of a landslide from Blåbærtinden, at the landslide point Olsrud (see figure 1). The purpose of the acquisition is to reduce the risk of personal and material damage as a result of avalanches on the road.
