Variska Unified School is a school building completed in the 1990s. The building is designed by local architect Asko Halme. An extension has been built next to the building in 2021-2022, at the same time in some of the premises of the original part have been renovated.
The baseline of this renovation projectA 2019 condition survey has been set up, which has identified the renovation needs of the building for construction and building technology. In addition, in the context of the original part repairs, deficiencies were observed in the seam castings of the cavity slabs, which need to be repaired over a large area.
More detailed quality goals for the projectand other objectives are set during the project planning phase, if necessary, they will be specified at the start of the planning. The humidity management of the project follows the Vaasa Talotoimi's own model of moisture management procedure, including: the review of the defined risk points jointlywith.
Design solutions are made, aware of the cost of the entire life cycle of solutions. The design phase will determine the solutions to promote the circular economy.
