Three (3) of North West Hospital Health Services (NWHHS) Health Clinics have identified a critical need for a purpose-built dental plant room to house essential dental equipment, specifically the air compressor and suction unit. The current equipment is at end of life and is located in a suboptimal environment, which compromises its performance and reliability. The existing air compressor and suction unit are housed in a dog cage located on the exterior of the building, exposed to inappropriate environmental conditions, such as heat, humidity, and contamination. One of the three is in a closet style enclosure however still remains to be affected by the outside elements. Additionally, the suction unit exhausts contaminated treatment air into the atmosphere, posing a biohazard risk and failing to meet regulatory standards. The three locations of Dental Plant Rooms are: Cloncurry Doomadgee Mornington Island To begin early 2025.
