Description: This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for information only. Replies by interested parties will be used by this agency for preliminary planning purposes. No proposal or contract will be awarded from this notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow up information requests. Items below subject to change. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers has been tasked to solicit and award a firm fixed price contract to construct (DBB), Remodel Dietetics Kitchen, AZ
Project Scope: This project will modernize the Dietetics Kitchen on the first floor of building 1, on the Phoenix Arizona Veteran Administration Healthcare System (PVAHCS) campus. The construction project will be done in one phase and will include a leased temporary mobile kitchen structure (managed by the eventual contractor), complete with food services, food production equipment and six (6) administrative workspaces in a shared location on the PVAHCS grounds. The temporary kitchen will enable Nutrition, Hospitality and Food Services (NHFS) to continue food production for 900 meals per day. The temporary kitchen will be all inclusive, include appropriate equipment and be connected to Phoenix VA current gas, water and electrical utility infrastructure. The result of the remodeled Dietetics Kitchen will be a complete “turn-key” project with all equipment purchased, stored, assembled, connected, and tested by the contractor. The new construction will include office spaces, walls, ceilings, flooring and utilities in the nutrition cooking and food storage, refrigeration areas. This new remodel will correct the infrastructure deficiencies, remediate pest infestation, and improve workplace safety over an 11, 500 square feet area. Construction activities will be done in a manner that allows for continued operation of food production for the PVAHCS-Nutrition, Hospitality and Food Service.
