Tender Details

General Procurement Notice for Rehabilitation and Upgrading Works.

Kosovo Railways Infrastructure JSC, shortly INFRAKOS (the “Client”) intends using the proceeds of loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank (the “Banks”) for the rehabilitation and upgrading of Kosovo Rail Route 10, 148 km long, from the border with Serbia in northern Kosovo (near Leshak station) to the border with FYR Macedonia in the southern Kosovo (Hani i Elezit station) (the “Project”). The Project will be implemented in three phases and consists of the rehabilitation and upgrading of the following sections:



Fushe Kosove – FYR Macedonia border;
Fushe Kosove – Mitrovice;
Mitrovice – Serbia border.


The Project has a total estimated cost of EUR 196 million and will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services:



Works for: Fushë Kosovë – FYR Macedonia border (Phase 1);
Works for: Fushë Kosovë – Mitrovicë (Phase 2);
Works for: Mitrovicë - Serbia border (Phase 3);
Consultancy Services for the supervision of works (Phase 2 and 3)


The prequalification for Tendering for the Fushë Kosovë – FYR Macedonia border (Phase 1) tender is expected to launch at the third quarter of 2017.



Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Banks will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
