Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo Economic Development & Tourism (FMWBEDT) requires the Proponent to develop a comprehensive Regional Workforce Development Strategy to guide future workforce development within the region. The strategy will better articulate and address the Region-s workforce capabilities and opportunities, with a targeted emphasis on the Indigenous workforce. There is an imminent need for this strategy to provide an evidence-based, collaborative approach to address workforce gaps and opportunities which will ultimately position local businesses and industry better to compete in a rapidly changing labour environment.
