UNCDF invites applications from licensed financial/technical agencies with a presence in the Pacific that can undertake the pilot for climate and disaster risk insurance (CDRFI), focusing on developing and executing plans for scaling parametric insurance solutions in the Pacific. Based on UNCDF's commitments in the Pacific to develop CDRFI solutions to protect vulnerable communities from the impacts of climate disasters while building financial resilience, UNCDF is looking to onboard a financial/technical agency that will carry out the following activities: Activity 1: Enhancement of Parametric Insurance Products. Review the existing parametric micro/meso products, identify improvements in features, and benefits to suit the market/segment needs . Identifying and reviewing any additional data sources that can be harnessed for the purpose of revising and refining the product Activity 2: Product Optimization and Capacity Building for Scale. Product revisions, adding features, benefits, pricing revision and revising and refining product brochures, awareness, and promotion material in each country . Review current business models of local insurers and aggregators in each market to identify capacity gaps and process improvements to build efficiencies for scale. .
