SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)Refuse and Recycling Collection Services - New Melones Lake, CA1. PurposeThe Bureau of Reclamation is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing refuse and recycling collection services at New Melones Lake, Glory Hole Recreation Area, Calaveras County, California.This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment by the Government.________________________________________2. BackgroundThe Government requires refuse and recycling services to support public health, sanitation, and safe operations across federally managed recreation areas. Services occur at geographically dispersed locations within the Glory Hole Recreation Area (campgrounds, day-use areas, boat ramps, and support facilities).Solid waste collection within Calaveras County is subject to a county administered franchise system (Calaveras County Ordinances 2510 and 2817, Title 08 Health and Safety, Chapter 8.12). The Government understands that California Waste Recovery Systems, LLC is currently authorized under the county franchise to provide solid waste collection and disposal services within the applicable service area.The purpose of this notice is to determine whether any other firms have the legal authority and operational capability to perform refuse and recycling collection services within the county-s franchised service area and meet the Government-s requirements.________________________________________3. Scope (Summary)The required services include, but are not limited to:• Servicing up to 28 dumpsters across multiple recreation sites• Providing, maintaining, and replacing contractor furnished refuse and recycling dumpsters• Providing a 20 cubic yard bin as needed (up to 8 times per year)• Performing scheduled and on call collections, including peak-season support• Responding to additional service requests within 72 hours• Managing proper tran...
