PRESOLICITATION NOTICE

Project #565-24-105 Refurbish D Wing Elevators

The Department of Veterans Affairs, 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301 has a requirement for a contractor to refurbish D Wing Elevators located at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC.

General Scope: Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary for modernization, refurbishment, installation, commissioning, and turnover of two existing D-Wing elevators P-5 and P-6 (hydraulic; 4, 000 lb; 125 fpm; B/1/2 stops; duplex selective collective) serving the Emergency Room, Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, and Operating Rooms while maintaining hospital operations and life-safety. Work includes demolition of legacy systems, installation of non-proprietary modernization components, machine-room and pit code upgrades, cab and hoist way door refurbishments, ICRA-conforming phasing and barriers, commissioning, training, and full closeout. The finished elevators shall operate reliably and be executed in accordance with the final issued-for-construction documents, specifications, and applicable current VA, federal, state, and local codes and standards. Contractor to complete construction within 450 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed, but considerations for lead time on materials may be taken.

This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside.
