Redevelopment of rue de Madretsch west - traffic support measures (MAC) Project description 1) Initial situation The commissioning of the eastern bypass of the A5 made it possible to shift part of the motorized traffic onto the highway, thus relieving the urban network. Traffic support measures (MAC) aim to take advantage of this load shedding to improve the attractiveness of urban space and strengthen public transport and mobility. cycle and pedestrian. On the basis of the MAC master plan, the City of Bienne commissioned a preliminary study in order to define the modalities for implementing these measures.
