This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in far subpart 12.6-streamlined procedures for evaluation and solicitation for commercial items-as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued.
This solicitation is a request for quotation (rfq). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through federal acquisition circular 05-97.
The associated north american industrial classification system (naics) code for this procurement is 811310 - commercial and industrial machinery and equipment (except automotive and electronic) repair and maintenance. The small business size standard is $7, 500, 000.00. This acquisition is set aside for small businesses. Simplified acquisition procedures will be utilized.
Background information
the contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools, management, travel and equipment necessary for all repairs for one (1) condenser water pump re-build and perform maintenance on four (4) 600 hp pumps per the attached statement of work located at the national institute of standards and technology (nist) campus, 100 bureau drive, gaithersburg, md.
