The projected section of the R2 expressway will visually connect the previous section of the R2 Ožďany Zacharovce with the next section of the R2 Batka — Figa. At the beginning of the section of the R2 expressway, there is the Zacharovce interchange (MUK), which ensures the connection of the R2 expressway to the road 1/16 (original designation 1/50) and local communication to Rimavska Sobota. Zacharovce intersection was included in the previous section of the expressway R2 Ožďany — Zacharovce in the stage of documentation for land use decision (DOR). At the level of documentation for a building permit (DSP) there is an intersection, including related ones objects included in the addressed section R2 Zacharovce — Batka, in order to ensure the connection to the existing road network at a time when the previous section has not yet been completed. In view of the above, the route of the R2 expressway starts at the Zacharovce intersection by crossing c. 111/2751 and continues northeast, where it bridges the Močiar stream. Subsequently, the R2 expressway crosses road 1/16 and leads south of road 1/16 and Rimavska Sobota, part of Bakta. In the next section, the route crosses the Hnojnik stream twice and at the junction with u. Tomašovce and Batka again crosses the road 1/16 and then leads north of the road in its confluence I. class. The route ends after the Batka intersection, where it connects to the next section of the R2 Batka — Figa. The passage of transit traffic along road 1/16 has a very negative impact for residents along this road.
