The purpose of the procurement of construction works R2 Bátka - Figa is to relieve the currently burdened transport network, especially road i/16, along which transit traffic is conducted with a negative impact for residents along this heavily loaded road led by a stretch of municipalities. By building the R2 expressway, the flow, speed and safety of traffic will increase and there will be a significant improvement in traffic and operating conditions for transit traffic. General overview of the construction: - total length of the section of the main route: 6, 318.585 m - width layout (road category): R 11.5/100 - number of objects: 90 - total number of bridges: 6 on R2 Construction description: The R2 expressway is part of the international European route E58 in the west-east direction. Expressway R2 will connect the previous one the planned section of the R2 Zacharovce - Bátka with the completed section of the R2 Figa - bypass. The beginning of the section R2 Bátka - Figa follows on from the previous section R2 Zacharovce - Bátka, behind the "Bátka" interchange, solved in the previous section. Route here crosses road III/2753 and continues to the existing intersection of road I/16 with road III/2759, which it bridges including the Blh stream. In the next section, the route runs along road I/16 from the south side, in k. u. Kaloša moves away from the I/16 road corridor and crosses the road III/2760 and Teška stream. It then crosses the I/16 road again and ends by connecting to the R2 Figa construction - bypass.
