The University of Malta, as a partner in the TecMAReco project, requires the acquisition of a high-performance computer to carry out advanced modelling and data analysis tasks foreseen within the project. TecMAReco is focused on the development of high-resolution technologies for the monitoring of marine litter and for the assessment of its effects on marine ecosystems. The high-performance computer will be essential to process large environmental datasets, run Lagrangian and hydrodynamic models, and support the integration of multi-sensor observations collected during the project. This computing capacity will allow the University of Malta to contribute effectively to the objectives of the project, particularly in the development of tools for detection, impact assessment, and cross-border monitoring.
