The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisition Services, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to QuidelOrtho Corporation, 9975 Summer Ridge Road, San Diego, California 92121 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The anticipated award is for commercial services and is valued below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT). This procurement is for urgent maintenance and OEM support services for a VITROS 3600 systems used by the Division of Viral Hepatitis Laboratory Branch at CDC, required services include:
Preventive maintenance will be performed in once a year.
The agreement should also include field application support.
All software and hardware updated must be included.
Email and phone technical support must be available through the life of the agreement during business hours, (Mon-Fri).
The service agreement will cover all repairs, replacements, and labor incur by instrument failures.
As a result, this requirement will be processed under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR Part 13. QuidelOrtho Corporation is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and the only known source with access to the proprietary reagents, diagnostics, and service infrastructure necessary to support the proprietary(VITROS 3600) model equipment system in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
