The Central Uusimaa welfare region's oral health care queue break will be procured during 2023.

The Central Uusimaa welfare region has started preparation for the procurement to break the queues for oral health care. The current queues for oral health care are growing beyond the current treatment guarantee lawlegislation also requires measures before the tender is completed. The current care guarantee legislation requires that a client in need of non-urgent care be examined/treatment start within 6 months after the need for care has been established.to the month, which creates pressure to break up the congested oral healthcare queues. In week 15/2023, there were 7824 customers in the treatment queue, of which 1197 were waiting for treatment for more than 6 months. During March-April 2023, the queue has grown by 250 - 300 patients per week. Forecast for the situation at the end of July Viikto be 30 /2023 for those who have waited more than 6 months, it is 4200.

The demand for services has now increased after the corona epidemic, when customers have become more active regarding their treatments; during the epidemic, the demand for oral health care decreased significantly. The increased demand for urgent care also takes time to queuefrom the treatment of patients in nursing staff cannot be hired for open vacancies. Patients constantly have to be put in a queue to wait for treatment. You can't do it with depleted human resources either...
