BACKGROUND
This is a notice to Request Information (RFI)/Sources Sought Notice (SSN) from industry to help determine the availability and capability of small business and other than small businesses that are capable of providing any or all of the services required by the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). NIST is conducting market research to identify potential sources that can provide QuestaSim Software License.
This notice is strictly to request information for market research purposes to help NIST determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for this requirement. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation, an obligation, or commitment by the NIST.
OVERVIEW
The alternative computing group requires the purchase of Questsim VHDL/Verilog Simulation and Verification Software license for developing a Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) design in this project. This project requires the development of an FPGA-based memory device characterization platform, which involves programming and reading the memory devices, along with offloading several computationally intensive tasks to the FPGAs. To perform this process in the FPGA and verify the functionality of the design before implementation, it is required to simulate and verify the entire FPGA design with various constraints. Simulating the FPGA design with Questasim before implementation also guarantees functional and behavioral accuracy which is very essential for characterizing the memory devices.
