These systems provide fast online tryptic digestion of lipid samples in our apolipoprotein quantitation method. The perfinity tryspin columns are specifically designed to work on-line with our analytical column to provide a fast tryspin digestion and a continuous sample analysis. The perfinity digestion buffer is optimized to work with the perfinity tryspin columns for a highly efficient digestion while providing higher peptide recovery. The perfinity tryspin columns are capable of a fast sample tryspin digest at 50 degrees celsius while functioning optimally during analysis of an average of 2000 injections per week. Other products cannot provide the integrated and continuous sample analysis and throughput that our lipids method requires to accomplish our organized workflow of sample analysis. To assure the continuity of the clinical chemistry branch's (ccb) lipids program and to continue with our sample analysis and throughput, it is essential to keep our process stable by acquiring the same perfinigy tryspin columns and perfinity tryspin buffers currently used in the ccb's fully validated methods.
