Within the nursing and midwifery courses, we have been focusing heavily on simulation education with high-tech HFPS manikins for years. Given the great learning effect, training in small groups of students and the increase in students (including in the English-language Bachelor of Nursing that starts next academic year), we are ready for a capacity expansion in terms of simulation manikins. We are also committed to a mobile simulation lab, where it is desirable to use a less heavy, easy to disassemble, realistic simulation doll to get started. The dolls are used intensively. One of the dolls needs to be replaced (10 years old). We focus on purchasing: 1/ a new ALS simulation man (Advanced Life Support Simulator); 2/ and the slightly less high-tech doll, but with a lifelike appearance and physique specifically tailored to the geriatric care recipient.
