Tender Details

New, interoperable, electrical locomotives must be suitable for cross -border traffic and capable flexible operation on lines with different systems without changing locomotives, resulting in operational stops at border stations. The Slovenian railway network is connected to the networks of four neighboring countries with 6 border stations electrified: Jesenice, Caves (OBB), Hodoš (MAV), Dobova, Šapjani (HZ) and Municipalities (FS). For successful competition, other modes of transport is required as a minimum operational speed for locomotives subject to public procurement, a speed of 200 km/h. Such a speed allows for more attractive international traffic, for driving, even on lines, with higher speed speeds. In order to achieve interoperability, new locomotives must be in accordance with the latest applicable TSI regulations.
