The Port of San Francisco (“Port”) is a highly visible and self-supporting enterprise agency within the City and County of San Francisco (“City”) and is responsible for seven and one-half miles of waterfront property. Its geographical area consists of property along the San Francisco waterfront extending from Aquatic Park to Heron-s Head Park. The Port requires the expertise of qualified consultants capable of providing environmental and related professional services on an as-needed basis. Requested services may involve an entire project, several projects, and part of a project or for any project phase. Consultants who are awarded contracts under this RFQ may be expected to work in conjunction with the Port-s technical staff and/or other consultants hired by the port as part of a project team. In addition to the As-Needed Contracts, all responsive and qualified proposers eligible for oral interviews will be placed on an eligibility list (the “Pre-Qualified Pool”). The Pre-Qualified Pool will be utilized for a period of up to two years from the date it is created to procure additional services as additional funding availability and service needs are determined. The Port seeks to promote diversity with its contracting opportunities, The Port desires to engage consultant teams that reflect the diversity of the City and include participation of both businesses and residents from the City-s most disadvantaged communities including, but not limited to, the Bayview/Hunter-s Point, Chinatown, Mission, South of Market, Tenderloin, Visitacion Valley and Western Addition neighborhoods. As such, the Port recommends that Proposers consider the composition of their teams in terms of gender, age, ethnicity, and race, and utilize teams that include a diverse mix of staff at all organizational levels.
