Prequalification are invited for Wind Energy Resource Mapping in Lebanon: Wind Measurement Campaign.ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION
This selection relates to a wind measurement campaign in Lebanon consisting of at least four groundbased meteorological stations across the country to provide additional validation data for a nationwide Wind Atlas. The project is being implemented by the World Bank in partnership with the Government of Lebanon with the costs shared between both parties (two separate contracts are likely to be awarded to one winning Vendor). The project will benefit from the technical advice and standards developed by the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) under their global initiative on Renewable Energy Resource Mapping. The project will not include development of a Wind Atlas or other wind resource assessment which will be contracted separately once sufficient wind measurement data is available.
GENERAL SCOPE OF THE SERVICES:
The Consultants will be expected to provide the World Bank and the Government of Lebanon with high quality wind measurement data from at least four sites at 80m from across the country including the planning commissioning and management of the wind measurement campaign in its entirety. Specifications for the site selection equipment data availability and environmentalsocial standards compliance will match or exceed best international practice. Full details will be provided in the Terms of Reference (TOR) that is part of the Request for Proposals (RFP) package sent to the shortlisted vendors
