Tender Details

The Republic of Austria, represented by the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology, Radetzkystrasse 2, 1030 Vienna (BMK), as the competent authority according to Art. 2 lit b VO (EG) 1370/2007, intends to Rail infrastructure service companyaft mbH (SCHIG mbH) as client to award a service contract directly to WESTbahn Management GmbH (WESTbahn) for a period of ten years in accordance with Article 5 Paragraph 6 of Regulation (EC) No. 1370/2007 of SPFV services on the route Vienna Westbahnhof - Vienna Huetteldorf - St. Poelten Hbf - Linz Hbf - Salzburg Hbf with the following system offer:

- Basic clock on weekdays except Saturday: hourly

- Basic clock on Saturdays on weekdays: hourly

- Basic clock on Sundays and public holidays: hourly

Above that addition, compressor trains inthe rush hour on sections. Individual trains, especially at the end of the day, can run from/to Linz Hbf.

The order volume is expected to be around 4.2 million laneway km p.a.

For the provision of the traffic services, the double-decker Bestvehicles of the 4010 series to be used.
