The Queensland Government subsidises training that supports workforce participation by making skills and training accessible to diverse participants. A key component of government investment is on economic priorities, local needs and student outcomes so our training system delivers for Queensland. Training delivery occurs through a contracted Skills Assure Supplier (SAS) network that delivers quality training in priority skills areas.Almost a quarter of a million Queenslanders study a subsidised course with a SAS each year. Comprised of public, private, not-for-profit and dual-sector registered training organisations (RTOs), SAS providers are quality-assured to deliver training and assessment services funded by the Queensland Government.The current Skills Assure Supplier (SAS) framework commenced on 1 July 2020 to support the delivery of the Queensland Government's core Vocational Education and Training (VET) funding programs, which are administered by the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET). A new SAS framework will commence from 1 July 2025 with SAS Agreements awarded to successful RTOs commencing from 1 July 2025.DTET currently provide a range of resources to support SAS providers with inclusive practices. To support the new SAS framework, DTET is looking to introduce a SAS inclusive practice micro-credential tool.
