United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Beirut, Lebanon, seeks the interest of qualified vendors and Service Providers to participate in an upcoming tender solicitation for the Provision of services for a Solid Waste Consultancy for the preparation of Local Operational Master Plans for Solid Waste in Service Zone 3 (Sahil El Zahrani, Saida El Zahrani and Northern Iqlim Al Kharroub) in Lebanon. The project aims to reduce marine litter in Lebanon by supporting coastal Union of Municipalities and the national government in the implementation of the Integrated Solid Waste Master Plan. The scope of works shall include but not limited to: - Technical consultations and site visits to collect and review all previous studies and projects, as well as legal documents that are related to the general scope of this assignment and development of Inception Report - Overall assessment (situational analysis) of Solid Waste Management and development of reports for the Service Zones - Preparation of Cost Recovery Plans for Intergrated Solid Waste Management in the Service Zones, including the various waste management services, facilities, and required infrastructure and development of reports - Formulation of awareness and communication messaging, and development of reports in the Service Zones - Preparation of Monitoring and Evaluation Plans for Intergrated Solid Waste Management and development of reports in the Service Zones - Preparation of Local Operational Master Plan for Intergrated Solid WasteManagement and development of reports in the Service Zones Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. The complete detail of the requirement will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process.
