PROVISION OF SERVICES FOR LIFEGUARDING COVERAGE OF POPULAR BEACHES OF NORTH CORFU MUNICIPALITY This study concerns the service for the lifeguard coverage of the beaches of the Municipality of North Corfu, during the months IOYNIO - SEPTEMBER, for the year 2026, which beaches have been designated as crowded bathing facilities with the no. 2131.16/5624/2025 document of the Central Port Authority of Corfu for the definition and characterization of the crowded beach areas of the island of Corfu. The above is mandatory the surveillance of the crowded beach areas of the Municipality of North Corfu by lifeguards within the framework of the existing regulatory framework. The study takes into account the provisions of the P.D. 31/2018 (Government Gazette 61/t.A΄/04-04-2018), PD 71/2020 (Government Gazette 166/A/2020) as well as document 2131.16/5624/2025 of the Central Port Authority of Corfu. It is noted that the P.D. 71/2020 determines that the lifeguard coverage of crowded beaches must be done during the months of June, July, August & September. The beaches for which the Municipality of North Corfu is obliged to provide lifeguard coverage are the following: a) Sidari, D.E. Esperion, two (2) lifeguard positions, b) Roda, D.E. Thinalion, two (2) lifeguard positions c) Agios Stefanos Avlioton, two (2) places lifeguard d) Acharavi, D.E. Thinalion, three (3) lifeguard positions, e) Agios Georgios Pagon, D.E.
