The United Nations (UN), Department of Operational Support (DOS) has a requirement for a qualified Contractor to provide Pest & Vector Control and Ground Maintenance Services in the compounds of Port-au-Prince, United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH). These consist of twelve (12) land parcels of approximately 76 hectares (ha) in total. The Contract shall be valid for a period of two (2) years with the option of two one-year (1) extensions (2+1+1), at the sole discretion of the UN, subject to mandate extension, availability of funds and Contractor's performance. The Contractor shall provide the following services: 1. Pest & Vector Control Services The objective is to reduce the number of insects or animal vectors to prevent disease/health hazard in accordance with WHO recommendations and to sustainably control the population of vectors.. The outline of the services/activities required are as follows;a. Surveys: The Contractor shall conduct surveys of all UNSOH compounds and develop a schedule for Pest & Vector Control (PVC) Services for each area of operation. The schedule will be finalized and implemented after agreement by both parties. b. Regular/routine provision of Pest & Vector Control services. c. Provision of On-call Pest & Vector Control Services. The Contractor shall provide urgent PVC services in the event of unforeseen situations that require immediate attention. d.
