Email: Login to see tender_detailsLogin to see details Tender Details Tenders are invited for Request For THE WELFARE ASSOCIATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFGHANISTAN (WADAN) Provision of Livestock, Dairy Cow The UMEED project is a ten-month initiative designed to enhance women-s economic empowerment and business sustainability in Baharak and Faizabad districts of Badakhshan Province. Building on the achievements of the Afghanistan Women Livelihood Program, the project supports 37 women and girls (25 new and 12 existing beneficiaries) through a comprehensive package of interventions. These include entrepreneurship and financial literacy training, technical training in livestock management and food processing and the provision of productive assets such as 23 lactating cows and 14 upgraded business startup kits with small grants. The project facilitates the transition of 12 women from group-based to individual businesses while also strengthening three savings groups to improve financial inclusion. In addition, it also establishes market linkages and promote inter-district value chains to ensure long-term business viability. Continuous follow-up, mentorship and performance monitoring will assess business operations, income levels and challenges, enabling adaptive support to beneficiaries. Through a market-driven approach, the project aims to ensure that participants initiate and sustain income-generating activities, improve household income and build resilience against economic shocks.
