Requirement:
three (3) viasat mmt hcka terminals monthly rental two option periods of one month each
this contract will be a brand name to oed, viasat, inc. It is the only company that meets the government's requirement. This is an urgent requirement and services are to begin as soon as possible through 31 january 19.
The viasat multi mission terminal (mmt) and the viasat high capacity satellite service is a critical capability that will provide high speed commercial internet for spmagtf-7 and its major subordinate elements (mse). Considering the current demand for access to media outlets, open source intelligence (osint), and the operational requirement to achieve interoperability with the customs and border patrol (cbp), the viasat mmt will enable spmagtf-7 to access all of these capabilities at speeds unattainable through tactical systems. Also, access to this high speed, commercial internet capability allows spmagtf-7 and mses the means to access cbp streaming services to include intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (isr) full motion video (fmv) from cbp uass and closed circuit television from each of the ports of entry (poe). The viasat-mmt will enable spmagtf-7 to receive the required bandwidth throughput and speeds to achieve a high level of situational awareness and understanding and to ensure harmonious operations with our cbp partners iso operation border support.
