The company-s focuses on producing and distributing premium Palestinian products covering extra virgin olive oil, Zaatar (thyme), freekeh, dried Sage, Dates, olive oil Soap and Tahini. The company has the largest storage facility of olive oil in Palestine with a total capacity of over 1, 100 tons.
AL-ARD sources agricultural products locally from a network of farmers and producers and is currently adopting a social scheme “Palestine fertile land” that has a coalition of 15 cooperatives to encourage fair trade and organic practices in Palestine and to establish sustainable markets for farming communities.
In line with its export growth plan Al-ARD company is expanding its operation in the EU market through in market presence, recently the company established a fulfilment hub in Germany to serve the market. And because of The continues grow of organic food market in most of the European countries, AL-ARD company Expanding the basket of organically certified products.
AL-ARD is currently certified as organic packer for the olive oil, with Tasdeer support the company will expand the organic packer certificate to include Maftool in order to serve the EU markets.
Al-Ard Company for Agricultural Products with the support of Tasdeer program will contract an external consultant or consultancy firm (Provide Organic packer certification for Maftool) to achieve the following objectives:
- Development of the organic packer certification requirement according to EU organic requirement for the Maftool Product.
- Conducting inspections required to obtain accreditations in organic according to EU Regulation No. 889/2008
