Description : RFB for a vendor-provided and maintained web-based subscription service which provide passive traffic data access and web-based analysis, performance measures, and reports, for the Ministry of Transportation Ontario Scope of Work The passive traffic data and web-based analytics service provide access to traffic speed data and road network performance measures based on passenger and commercial vehicle movements. It serves the needs of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation including (but not limited to): • operations, system planning, transportation planning, analysis, policy and investment evaluation, and research that are relevant to performance measures using crowdsourced vehicle probe data. • identification of traffic operation problems, road users- preferred routes and traveling time period; monitoring and analyzing travel pattern changes, causation and impacts of traffic congestion, and detection of bottlenecks. This web-based subscription service will be required by June 10, 2022. It will allow the Ministry, its counterparts/agencies/consultants, and municipalities acquiring passive traffic data access and web-based analytics service within Ontario through a vendor-based and maintained internet portal.
