Description : This Request for Information (“RFI”), is issued by Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario as represented by the Solicitor General “the Ministry”, for the purposes of gathering information about the marketplace in order to assist in the development of specifications to be used for future open-competitive procurement process for Electronic Fingerprint Capture System Scope of Work The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is one of the largest deployed police services in North America with over 5, 000 uniform members. Our officers are responsible for policing over one million square kilometres of land and waterways. We provide frontline policing services to 323 Ontario municipalities and patrol over 127, 000 kilometres of provincial roadways. The OPP currently uses an Electronic Fingerprint Capture System (EFCS) to fulfill the requirements of the Identification of Criminal Act, Criminal Records Act and Police Records Check Reform Act. This system is interfaced with the RCMP Canadian Real time Identification Services' system “Real Time Identification Database” (RTID).
