Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP): project: tender_10655 - vendor of record (vor) for commercial printing services
the ministry of government and consumer services is establishing a vendor of record arrangement for the provision of commercial printing services on an as-requested basis. the successful vendors may form the commercial print services vendor of record (vor) list and will be requested to submit quotes for jobs, known as a second stage selection, through the issuance of a request for service (rfs), as necessary.
the term of the vor arrangement will be for two (2) years.
the ministry provides a full range of print services to government of ontario ministries and agencies utilizing in house printing technology, expertise and one-to-one customer service. print services include digital printing, copying, binding/finishing, graphic design, distribution and wide format inkjet printing from five locations in toronto. other related services provided by the centre include mass mailing services. ministry partners can consult with document solutions and logistics staff to achieve a professional, cost-effective, high quality solution to their print requirements.
rfb for the provision of the commercial print services for the following five service categories:
i. offset/digital printing - printing by means of lithographic offset presses, both sheet fed and web, and high volume production toner and inkjet digital devices (e.g. reports, brochures, books);
ii. digital large format/screenprinting printing of short run oversized graphics on specialized inkjet output devices (e.g. posters, plans);
iii. screenprinting traditional screenprinting of long run oversized graphics on many different substrates (e.g. corrugated board point of purchase display materials);
iv. basewrap/flexographic printing printing of polythene rolls on specialized presses (e.g. roll banners, large signs, plastic bags); and
v. book printing high page count books with specialty binding (e.g. perfect binding, sewn, hard cover)
note that vendors do not have to bid on all the service categories. they may bid on one, depending on their technical specialty, or on multiple categories of the rfb
