In the summer of 2024, City Council adopted OPA 729 and Zoning By-law 904-2024 and Zoning By-law 871-2024 to permit construction of a 10-storey mixed-use building at the property legally described as Lot 1 on Plan 599 City West, City of Toronto, as in PIN 21274-0048(LT) and Lots 2 to 4 on Plan 599 City West, Lots 21 to 22 on Plan 371 City West, Part Lot 20 on Plan 371 City West, designated as Part 1 and 2 on 64R-16052, City of Toronto, as in PIN 21274-0047(LT), municipally known as 1113-1125 Dundas Street West (the "Site"). The proposed development includes approximately 94 residential units and 194 square metres of non-residential space on the ground floor. A target of 30% of the residential units will be designated as affordable rental housing. Additionally, the Site is one of five "housing-ready" locations identified in the City's plan to accelerate the development of affordable housing.
