The waste collected by the various groups reaches the treatment facilities under service contract with the Union. Thus, the plants are collected via a network of 27 recycling centers and collection points. They then enter the field of intervention of the Union, responsible for processing them. Following the integration of plant processing skills in 2016, the Union carried out an audit of the exercise of this competence, on the 6 processing platforms present on its territory. It was thus established that the plant processing activity on the Marsillargues platform could not be continued. In anticipation of the closure of this facility, a technical, regulatory and financial feasibility study was carried out in 2020, then updated in 2025, relating to the project to create a plant treatment facility at the Villete recycling center...
