Project CALLISTO v2
Project CALLISTO v2 Prior Information Notice (PIN) The UK MOD will be holding a Project CALLISTO Industry Day on Friday 12th June 2026, 13:00-16:30, at Tidworth Garrison Theatre, UK. UK-based Industry partners are invited to attend to provide feedback on Project CALLISTO`s proposed scope, timescales, feasibility and requirements. Please note, Project CALLISTO is no longer linked to Project BRAKESTOP. The User requires affordable, single use engines for current and future air systems, munitions & One Way systems, to bridge the performance gap between hobbyist, model aircraft engines and higher performance, long-life & more exquisite engines. This phase will consist of design, development and ground testing (in appropriate engine test facilities) of Qty 4 prototype engines. The engines must be affordable, scalable and any future scaled production requirement will be captured under a separate procurement. LOT 1 CALLISTO LIGHT is for a smaller, less powerful engine (750N) LOT 2 CALLISTO HEAVY is for a more powerful engine, (1.8-2kN) These will be competed separately with Industry Partners welcome to bid for either, or both, Lots For full details, including registration link for the industry day, please see the attached document.
