BACKGROUND This Terms of Reference is framed in the project of “Strengthening the Capacity of SENACIT/IHCIETI to provide integrated Science, Technology and Innovation services to the population of Honduras”, which aims to strengthen the infrastructure, technical and operational capacities of the Institute for the implementation of technological solutions aimed at the sustainable development of the country. Within this project, Component 2 contemplates the incorporation of specialized drones for georeferencing, reforestation and surveillance environmental, as well as the strengthening of the SENACIT Data Center and the acquisition of electronic devices intended for both institutional initiatives and beneficiary communities, with the purpose of improving the management, processing and analysis of strategic information for decision making. Likewise, Component 4 is aimed at the reforestation of 100 hectares of forest previously approved by the Forest Conservation Institute (ICF), through the implementation of technical actions that guarantee the restoration, sustainability and recovery of degraded areas.
