The aim of the acquisition is to implement statutory diabetic retinopathy screening in a cost-effective and high quality for the population of the South Savo welfare area from October 2025.
The service procurement of the South Savo Welfare Area applies to diabetic retinopathy screening studies Mikkeli, Mantyharju, Perunmaa, Hirvensalmi, Kangasniemi, Pieksamaki, Juva, Puumala, Savonlinna, Kerimaki, Savonranta, Punkaharju, Punkaharju, Enonkoski's diabetic retinopathy studies.
In these municipalities, about 6, 000 every year The actual number of those invited to the screening service are confirmed annually by the screening lists responsible for the treatment of diabetes. In recent years, more than 80 % of those invited have participated in the studies.
