The National Works Agency (NWA), through its Material Testing and Evaluation Unit (MTEU), requires the supply and installation of an appropriate laboratory fume hood and associated local exhaust ventilation system to improve the control and removal of fumes, vapours and airborne contaminants generated during asphalt testing activities. The works will be undertaken at the MTEU Head Office Laboratory, located at the NWA Head Office. The contract activity will include the supply, installation, and commissioning of a suitable fume hood (ventilation/exhaust system). The system is intended to provide effective extraction and discharge of laboratory fumes and vapours while being suitable for the operational and physical requirements of the laboratory. The procurement follows the identification of the need to improve the MTEU laboratory's existing ventilation and fume extraction arrangements. Previous assessments and discussions regarding the laboratory's infrastructure identified the need for dedicated local exhaust ventilation to support safer and more suitable working conditions during testing activities. The current procurement therefore seeks to address these requirements through the provision of an appropriately designed and installed fume hood and ventilation system. To be considered eligible, bidders must submit the following with their bids: • A valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC); • A valid Public Procurement Commission (PPC) Certificate of Registration in the category of Industrial Construction Equipment, Machinery, Parts. Failure to submit the documents listed above shall result in the rejection of the bid.
