I. Overview
The Newborn Screening Reference Center (NSRC) is mandated by Republic Act 9288, otherwise known as the Newborn Screening Act of 2004, to maintain the national testing database and patient registries. Alongside are other information systems essential to the implementation of the newborn screening program. To support these functions, NSRC maintains and manages various databases, applications, virtual machines, and digital platforms that facilitate laboratory operations, patient management, program monitoring, and data reporting nationwide.
