SPECIFICPROCUREMENT NOTICE (PROCUREMENT OFGOODS / WORKS)Ministry of Electricity u0026EnergyGeneration Projects UnitRepublic of Yemen 60 MW Al Mokha Wind FarmReference No.: ICB 1/2015 The Government of Yemen has received financing from: the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (a loan in anamount equivalent to US$65 million); the OPEC Fund for International Development(a loan in the amount of US$20 million); the Saudi Fund for Development (a grant in the amount of US$20 million); andthe World Bank (a grant in the amount of US$ 20million), toward the cost of the Al Mokha 60 MW Wind Farm.
The Government of Yemen intends to apply partof the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project.
TheMinistry of Electricity represented by GenerationProjects Unit now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the design, manufacture, supply, erection, connection to the grid, commissioning and operation of the 60 MW Al Mokha wind farm.
The Al Mokha wind farm site is located in Tehama costal valley area, close to the Red Seaat approximately 13.36° North, 43.27° East. Bidding will be conductedthrough an international competitivebidding process as specified in the WorldBank Guidelines:Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits u0026 Grants by World BankBorrowers ("Procurement Guidelines"), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the ProcurementGuidelines.
The financial situation and experience required to establish the eligibility ofbidders are a part of this notice.Complete qualification criteria may be obtained from www.yemenwind.com.
